Arizona Pallet Art

I taped masking tape and then I traced the outline of Arizona and a star in the middle. This left an indention on the tape.

I used an xacto knife to cut along the indention. Then I “stained” the rest of the wood with a paint and water mixture.

I pulled up the masking tape I painted the design of the Arizona flag on the unstained wood, leaving only the star unstained.

I traced the lettering on the paper leaving indention on the wood.

I painted the letters using the indention as a guide.

The finished piece. 36.5″ x 26″

Arizona Wildcats Football 2013

In Design on August 23, 2013 at 11:44 am

The 2013 season begins a week from today. I have created this printable schedule to help Wildcat fans follow the team and show their pride. I thought I would also make a bold prediction for the season. I have the Cats going 10-2 with their losses coming at USC and at home to Oregon. That should put them in the Holiday Bowl or the Sun Bowl. Here’s to a great season. BearDown Arizona!

Why can’t we all just get along?

Rumors abound about the future of the Big XII and many of them include a mixture of teams moving to the PAC12. This would increase the number of schools from 12 to 16. Logic would say that these new schools would join Arizona, ASU, Utah, and CU in an 8 team division. This prospect is not exciting for me as an Arizona fan or as a Baylor fan. I know that is an odd combo but I find myself rooting for the Big XII even if it means that the PAC12 could lose out on expansion. I know there could be all kinds talk about TV, and money grabs, ect. but I just don’t see how such a drastic geographic departure helps anyone. I like my PAC10 the way it was. Now we are stuck with Utah and Colorado. I don’t want anymore Big XII defectors. I hope all can be fixed and the Big XII can continue. I think it’s the best gig for all involved.
